There's nothing like being woken up at 5a.m. to be told that the hubby is to leave for Amsterdam a.s.a.p. if not yesterday. Can't go back to sleep now. Insomniacs of the world unite!
There goes our three day weekend with the best weather in a long, long, long (you get my point) time. Looks like I will attend tonight's BBQ by myself.
Peace out!

Crappy!! What the heck does hubby do? That's ridiculously short notice.
Here's to a fabulous weekend solo, sometimes those can be nice, but since I don't know anything about the situation, maybe it's not so nice for you.
Anyway, will stop the rambling now :)
Huckdoll - LOL, it is a bit crappy. The hubby works for a software company. Sometimes he works 'on call shifts' and needs to travel all over Europe or to South Africa on a moment's notice to assist in critical situations. I suppose you get used to it at some point. Or maybe not :)....
Frickity, frickity, frack!! Yeah, it would have meant so much more if I actually swore, huh?
I hope that hubby gets home soon!!
What a horrible way to be woken up.
I hope you were able to enjoy your week-end in spite of the hubs being gone.
BTW I would love to get the giggles with you I have only met 2 other people in my life that get the giggles like I do. And yes it makes it worse when the hubs doesn't get it.
I hope that you made good on your promise at the BBQ! :)
Melissa - Wow, woman-are you clairvoyant? He was home the same night. I didn't count on him anymore, really.
Not so perfect - So true. The phone ringing this early gives you a right start. The giggle thing is great. I love getting the giggles. Don't you feel so "free" afterwards?
Taj - I so did. I even ended up shitfaced. God bless the grilling of innocent animals and the over-indulgement of fermented liquids.
