Did you miss me? I certainly missed you.
I haven't been able to blog since we returned from our little honeymoon Friday night. Four of our best friends picked us up from the airport to take us out to dinner. Too bad that the hubby could not join. He had caught the flu and started feeling really sick the day before we were due to fly back.
Now one could say it was intentional because truth be told the both of us could imagine staying there and never going back. Well not anytime soon anyway. The hubby woke only twice on our 14 hour journey. Once to change planes in Bangkok and the second time because he was hungry and thirsty mid-flight.
Lucky for him the flight wasn't fully booked. We had the very last row by the window where there's only two seats in an otherwise 3-4-3 aircraft configuration. In Phuket we asked the check-in agent and he said the flight wasn't fully booked. We waited until everyone had boarded the aircraft in Bangkok then I sat down in our originally booked seats while the hubby went for an empty row in the middle. Shortly after take off the aisle seat was occuppied leaving the hubby with three seats to lie down on. Still plenty of space- so that worked out well.
Saturday I was Nurse Betty to a whimpering grown up who suffered a high fever and had this weird wheezing and rattling noise coming from his lungs. So off to the ER he went to get chest x-rays and a blood tests done and we're happy to report that it is apparently not the avian/bird flu.
The house still looks a total mess. The bags are only half unpacked and the laundry isn't fully done yet. The household has been on the back burner. Party's had to be cancelled....it is tragic. Amid all these things going on I just couldn't blog. I will however try to take some time to upload a few photographs to Flickr. It's all just so tiring when you'd rather sit on a sandy beach with a cocktail ;o)

Glad you all made it back safe.Hope your hubby is feeling better.Of course I would be sick to if I had to leave sandy beaches to come back to reality.
I'm sorry to hear the hubs isn't feeling well. I hope he's feeling a bit better now.
I know the feeling of wishing I could be on the beach. I've had a headache for 2 days since we've been back...oh for a margarita....and someone to serve it to me. :)
Oh, poor hubby! I hope he feels much better soon and I hope you are able to get yourself caught back up. (and while I'm hoping, I hope that somebody brings you a drink and a seashell or something!)
You were TERRIBLY missed. Glad you're back!
Welcome back!
Sorry to hear that the hubby is sick. Hope he is feeling better soon.
Yay! Welcome back!!! I'm so glad you loved it there-enough to want to stay. I am sorry that your husband got sick though-coming back from a good vacation always stinks, but being sick on top of it sucks!!!
Welcome back! It always takes me like 3 weeks to do all the laundry after vacation. I'm not kidding!
That's a pity, though it's good that he got sick at the end of the holiday, rather than earlier, I suppose...
Oh my yes...I did miss you. bunches. I hope life gets back to normal and everyone is back to good health soon.
