judge a book by its cover

Do you catch yourself checking out other people’s reads in public, i.e. on the subway, bus or plane? Have you ever wondered if whatever they’re reading is what they would have chosen were they curled up comfortably on their couch? Whether they are really reading that 1000 page classic or if they just picked that very book to come off as “smart”?

I do and sometimes I catch myself looking for a particular book in the bookstore, when I have seen someone that seemed really wrapped up in a book but I digress.

The next time you’re using public transport or you’re out and about and you have the opportunity to check on what other people are reading, this website may come in handy to judge a book/its reader by its cover ;o)

Stereotyping People by Their Favorite Author

Ok the list may not be accurate and I admit that I am a huge fan of Stephenie Meyer (because the Twilight Saga was awesome) and a ton of other authors that don’t do so well on the list. I just think it is really hilarious.

I'm a literary lightweight, which is why I mainly read crime fiction. At least by reading Greek editions there's a chance that people can't understand the title and assume I'm engrossed in Plato or something ;-)

Brian Yeah, Greek philosphers that's what I always pictured you reading...nothing to say against crime fiction. Enjoying that myself. Actually right now, see my reading list (which consists of one book this year, so far):)

That was too funny! I do admit that some of my favorite authors were cringe worthy - Vonnegut, C.S. Lewis, and Silverstein.

Shoot, I always ask the person reading about their thoughts when I travel. Have found great reads that way.
