Happy New Year to all of you. May 2010 be a great year and may all or most of your wishes be fulfilled.
It’s been a while since I regularly posted on this blog and when I looked through my archives it became clear that I have absolutely been slacking the past year. Now I am not really into new year’s resolutions, mostly because I know from experience that I gotta want something bad enough to make a serious change and then I don’t need a day to decide to change something. A resolution uttered under my (boozed) breath as the new year is being rung in just won’t cut it. What that means is, that I will continue to blog on here whenever the mood strikes me though I am afraid that the house will still be taking up most of my time in January and February.
We have to move by the end of this month and the house is a mess. It is gutted and I am beginning to panic that we won’t be able to finish at least a bedroom and the bathroom before moving in. Who wants to shower in the gym at work every morning? Not me, that’s for sure.
So how did you ring in the new year? We were invited to bff’s house. My friend threw a party which also doubled as her 30th birthday party. Though it wasn’t a big party, we were only eight people, it was great. You got to talk to everyone and it was really fun. Overall we had a great time and being there and not at some anonymous party or somewhere out in the cold was just what I felt like.
So let’s wait and see what 2010 brings. I hope only good things for each and everyone of us.

We spent New Year's Eve at the home of our 17yo son's girlfriend and family. I wish you lived next door to me, because I have a great story that I can't put online and I would love to tell you all about. I may have to skype you next week so I can share it with you. :)
Happy 2010! I'm loving your house blog! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Melisa That sounds like you had a lovely time. I wish I was your neighbor too :) and we should definitely skype asap. I'm off on Wednesday so will probably be up late Tuesday night for a good, long chat :)

Happy New Year Kat!
We spent had dinner out on NYE at a restaurant down the street. It was fantastic and then rang in the New Year at home in our PJ's just like we wanted.
Congrats on the house and good luck with the move! I hope 2019 bring you all the best! :)
