What a lazy weekend lies behind us and it was grand. Apart from the usual cleaning we pretty much just did whatever we felt like. We even managed to sleep in on Saturday, which is a rare thing.
Our two cats tend to beg for food and some TLC at five in the morning. No wonder they call it the "cat test". You test with cats first if you are ready for kids. Ok so I can't leave my baby to itself in the sun on the windowsill or bring it into the backyard at night. Not if you don't want to get arrested anyway. But for someone that is self sufficient and that did not have any responsibilities to this day, taking care of those two nutcases is a pretty big deal.
After half a year together they still don't socialize and manage to get along only 10% of the time. The majority of the time either of them tries to chase the other down the hallway, under beds, over the couch and up the scratch post. Well we haven't given up hope that eventually one day they will...but I don't want to jinx it by uttering the words out loud.
On another note. Why did they stuff a pair of tube socks down David Beckham's underwear? At the risk of sounding totally gross but it looks as though his Armani clad bulge is going to poke your eye out. Is anyone else grossed out by this aggresive display of his "golden balls" or whatever it is they call him over in England, or do you find it rather appealing???

Erika bought an automated feeder so the cats don't wake her up anymore. Our chase each other around a lot for fun but about once a day or so they will start hissing at each other. Just like kids who push the game a little too far and then get mad.
When I hear hissing I get the squirt bottle and hose their furry butts down. It never ceases to amaze me how well that works! They can see me just reaching for the bottle and they will stop. I keep waiting to come home from work to discover they have hidden it from me!
I am NOT touching the Beckham thing. Nope! Not gonna happen!
Yup. It's pretty gross.
Wow, that isn't natural... not at all.
I love lazy weekends ... it's too bad that this season doesn't really allow me to have one any time soon.
@ Rob,we use a squirt gun as well but it only lasts so long :). The idea with the automated feeder is brilliant. I will look into it. Cheers.
@ Mags, yep its "leaping" out at you.....
@ Lindz, it can't be natural or else he would be Long John Silver2 and not a soccer player *lol*
@ Airam, yes lazy weekends are the best. Sorry to hear that you won't get one anytime soon. I hope you find some quiettime over X-mas and new year.
Sorry, nothing grosses me out about that photo of Beckham. I'm not distracted by the sock-like bulge because my eyes keep wandering back to his abs. The man has ridiculous DNA.
Becks is totally hot but I can't help but think of Spinal Tap when I look at that picture...
"we've got armadillos in our trousers"....LMAO
spazzgirl: that is funny!
animals: we have a dog & a cat. they like to chase each other...or did before we had a baby. the day we brought Gage home from the hospital---the cat went outside & refuses to come back in. he hates the baby! (the baby, who is now 2!) So, the dog & cat play outside occasionally, but more than that, they just peacefully coexist. the cat runs from Gage.
You know what's funny? I wasn't even looking at his package until you pointed it out. I was totally oogling his abs!
David Beckham can do no wrong. Although his balls look hugely fake, his face and bod make up for it.
I am glad you guys had a nice relaxing week-end.
I'm more disturbed by the lack of hair...anywhere...down there.
Becks hmm I would not mind him on a platter.
Tighty Whities always gross me out anyways. **shudder**
I say Becks is sooooooooooo yummy....that picture is going up on my myspace page :)
Your cats are so funny!
Hey, thanks for visiting me!! I'd seen this picture before. It's weird. The big 'ole balls and all.
I can't decide how I feel about the picture. The abs are hot and the bulge is intriguing and scary at the same time;)
