Ways to Meet Your Maker

Wow I have been really slagging lately but the weekend was crazy and work is even crazier. I have the feeling if I don't slow down soon I am going to lift off and drift into outer space and we don't want that to happen. I've heard it is friggin' cold up there.

The weekend was great fun. A good friend that I haven't seen in ages came to town and stayed with my best friend because she had the day off and I didn't. It was supposed to be a big reunion and started out really great with a lovely dinner at my bff's house. Unfortunately the whole weekend was shadowed by the events that followed after the hubby and I left at night.

Apparently my best friend got into a huge argument with her husband resulting in our friend packing her bags the next day. She was ready to leave early so we moved her into our guestroom and it turned out to be a fun weekend after all. For a while there I was really fearing that my friend's marriage was on the rocks a mere 1 1/2 months into it but it seems they have calmed down and talked about it. Phew. Close call.

Last night was fun. The hubby and I watched Germany play in the European Soccer Championships. On our couch. It was heavenly. Though we almost got into an argument over a link the hubby sent me. Don't get me wrong. I love it when he sends me a link to things he thinks I might want to blog about. However there are things I don't want to read. They include our four legged furry friends being hurt and he usually knows better than pointing me into that direction.

He spared me articles about a loony who had 60 cats in his freezer to Benji the dog getting a wheel for his hind legs. For some reason he thought this article would be different though. It was'nt. It almost reduced me to tears. I felt sorry for the dog. Sorry for the owner. Sorry for myself and sorry for all the animals in the world. I mean leaving the world like this is horrible. Ginger's fate is just so stupid and unnecessary it is almost funny. I hope the guy sues the city of New York and that dumb ass sweep truck driver.

Oh man-having an argument like that is no good-but having company when that happens? Even worse! Lucky for the guest that you could take her in-and I'm glad to hear your bff and her hubs cleared the air.
