Some people ought to sit an examn before having kids

Here are two contestants that are in desperate need for some serious tips from all you awesome mommy bloggers or your overdue book on parenting Melisa ‘hint’ ‘hint’.

Seriously, what has the world come to? Somewhere in southeastern Ontario a mother was charged because her nine year old daughter was driving her home after a night of drinking. This is wrong on so many levels. First of all who gets drunk when their child is around? Who lets a nine year old drive a car? Why is there a minor out late accompanying a drunken adult to a night out drinking? WTF? Though this seems wrong we all remember we would have loved to ride around in our parents car when we were younger. And a sober nine year old driving slowly along backroads was probably way safer than a drunk ass mom driving the car into a ditch with the child in it.

Much worse is THIS. It makes me want to slap ‘mommy dearest’ hard across the face. Police stopped this lawyer/mother/idiot on her bicycle in Munich riding around with her naked baby in 52°F weather. The 18 month old baby was already half blue. The 32 year old mother claims the child refused to get dressed and that children have individual rights as well, which is why she accepted her daughter’s wish to remain undressed.

Seriously you need a permit for pretty much everything from driving a car to carrying a gun but any nutjob can become parents . Seriously people ought to be tested before being allowed to reproduce.

Wow, the 9yo driving her drunk mom home, although it is wrong on so many levels, at least the drunken mom wasn't driving. (Still wrong though!)

But (and you probably won't be surprised on this) the part of the post that totally enraged me was:

The 32 year old mother claims the child refused to get dressed and that children have individual rights as well, which is why she accepted her daughter’s wish to remain undressed.

SERIOUSLY???

No no no no.

Toddlers don't have unlimited rights. They have certain basic rights like being fed and housed and clothed, but beyond that, nuh-uh. No rights.

I'm sure they'll be in the news again, when the 18 month old is eleven years old and robbing a bank because the mother didn't give her what she thought was a fair allowance. Good Lord. Let me at her!

Going to work on that book now. :)

The most suprising thing about the woman on the bike is that she's a lawyer.
