Time Does Fly - well it does now in our household
The hubby came home with this alarm clock last night, which was a gift that everyone in his team received from a departing manager. It is an UFO alarm clock for people who have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning.
When the alarm goes off, the little propeller goes into action and flies off the clock and the alarm (sounding like the siren on a police car) in the meantime continues to scream. It can only be turned off if you manage to connect the propeller with the alarm clock again.
That means the sleepy head needs to find the thing and put it back on to turn the screaming banshee off. There is no way to cheat and take out the batteries as the cover is screwed tightly shut and you would need a screwdriver to change the batteries.
Now I can leave the hubby alone in the mornings because I can be sure he w i l l be getting up to avoid a noise so horrible it made the cats run off with bushy tails.

Swae got one of those as a prize for selling stuff at school. We haven't tried it out just yet.

I got one of these for my teen son. The one who cannot get up in the mornings. He thought it was cool, I thought it was cool. That was until the next morning when he still wouldn't get up to shut the dumb thing off and I had to hunt around for the rotor to get siren to turn off. It's a good gift to give away. :D

That is totally fun! (I wonder if your hubs will think so tomorrow morning!)
I personally have no problem getting up with an alarm, but if Jim is left alone in bed and has to wake to an alarm, he shuts it off & doesn't remember that he did it. Ugh. Good thing he's got me, I guess! LOL

Uff! That alarm would soon be finding a wall...and I'm sure the base isn't supposed to fly, right?

Whoah, I think I need this!!! Our alarm clock is on my bedside and DH set it up for me to wake up so I can prepare bfast before he goes to work. Once last week, he got late for work, because I unconsciously turned off the alarm clock.

I'm thinking I would hate that thing no matter what. I just hate jumping out of my warm bed right away. ugh.
