musical chairs

This blogging thing is killing me. I have every intention of sitting down and posting pictures and stories of our vacation or even a photo of my brand new baby laptop alas I can't seem to do it.

Post vacation blues? Not really. The first day back in work was actually pretty cool. Awesome in fact. However I found that work is an unpleasant interruption of going about one's daily business. I miss that.

More than once I imagined the look on my boss's face had I gotten up and returned to my desk wearing sunglasses and a hat. Watermelon shake in one hand, sunscreen in the other. Plonked in the middle of the office, belting out a tune of choice and letting it all (and by all I mean A L L) hang out. Fortunately for him and my co-workers I am usually trying to fit in - not stand out.

While I was gone somebody sat on my desk. Now I am missing my chair, my pens, my network cable... basically anything that wasn't screwed onto the wall or wasn't too heavy to be carried out. It took me nearly 2 1/2 hours to recover my belongings except for my chair. Sigh. It had a nice fit to my big bottom. Cum back chair...I loveded u. Another heavy sigh.

I don't know why people always think they can occupy a desk and then leave it in disarray. Grrrr. I mean when I am visiting someone's home I'm not taking things that I think are pretty or would make great items in my home. Hello? Not nice!

That's not good. I hope you find your chair. We do "hot desking" at work, since they're too mean to provide a desk each, which is pretty bad. Instead of things going missing, all manner of crap builds up on all the desks...

Brian How terrible. I think that would drive me nuts. Seems I'm not really flexible in this area but having someone elses crap on "your" desk all the time? Phew...
