say what?

Hello, hello. Is this thing on?

Finally back from vacationing in Thailand and a bit later than planned. First the old laptop gave up on us and then we decided on a spontaneous weekend trip to see my parents.

Let me just say that you've all been sorely missed.

The hubby and I had a great time. Though on second thought the hubby may want to reduce his verdict :) During week one hubby dearest fell down the stairs to the pool and sustained this neat bruise (he still has a scar from last year's tumble down another staircase inside the house). He narrowly escaped splitting his head open on a sharp edge by an inch, suffered from an ear infection, severe food poisoning and a few minor ailments.

Yes he is still alive and no he was not trying to get himself killed.

As if this wasn't enough though he had to deal with somebody else getting into his wife's panties. WHAT? We're all human!

One night we returned to our room from a swim and I had left my underwear in a neat pile next to my bed. As I reached for my undies in the dark I touched something that shouldn't have been there so I screamed for the best hubby in the world to hurry and turn on the light when we saw this little Gecko getting quite comfy in my "tidy whities".

We spent most days sleeping in, passing gas ahem I meant having breakfast(though not at this breakfast spot)and driving around the island on our rented motorbike before heading home and into the swimming pool. It was simply too hot to do much else.

Songkran - The water festival and Thai New Year was the best thing we had thus far experienced. More on that to come later on this week. I gotta go and get some sleep now aaaaand I need to come to terms with the fact that it is back to work tomorrow.

See ya then.

What great vacation stories you've given us in just one post already! I totally would have freaked out at the gecko. Ick!

And "breakfart"? That was hilarious. Definitely more a man's place, I guess. ha ha

That bruise looks awful! You're poor hubby. I'd think he'd be getting a little vacation-shy after all that!

The first day back to work after vacation is the worst. Good luck!

Maybe your husband should wear a crash helmet at all times, and not just on motorbikes...

You should have gone into the breakfart establishment - if their sign's anything to go by, the menu might have been entertaining.
