Looooooong break

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

I just realized that it’s been exactly one month since I last blogged. Can’t say that I missed it. I occasionally caught up with the posts of my favorite blogs cumulated in my reader.

Lots of things have happened during this month. I went to Seattle on business during the hottest week on record, with temperatures in the 100°F range.

I also got to speak to Melisa from Suburban Scrawl. She was so kind to call me in my hotel room and we had a fun conversation…She just rocks…

After my business trip I went to Connecticut to visit dear friends. Unfortunately changing planes went smooth (when you don’t want them to) at O’Hare. Why are flights never cancelled or delayed when you need them to? It would’ve been the perfect time to stop by and meet up with Melisa in person.

Connecticut was awesome. Apart from not having the hubby with me to enjoy the experience, it was perfect. Simply perfect. My friend is a dog breeder and one of her dogs just had a litter of six cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Squeeeeeaaaal – they were so cute, it was beyond words. Catching up with my friend and her boys was so much fun and so enjoyable that I had a terrible time leaving.

In other news, we finally decided that it is the right time to invest into our future by buying a house. With the realty prices around here being as crazy as they are, we can’t afford to build our own house – though we would’ve loved to. We did however put in an offer for a house on a lovely property. It will need a lot of work but we’re willing to invest manpower and money to make it our beautiful home. We’re excited. So keep your fingers crossed for us. Let’s hope it all works out and if it does, I will make sure to post our progress on here.

I would have snuck one of those puppies into my luggage. Adorable

Ain't Melisa grand? I hope you do get to meet her IRL some day, she is every bit as nice in person.

Oh yeah! Welcome Back!

Aw, you two are so sweet.

Kat, I have missed you SOOOO much. I was pretty peeved that your plane was on schedule too. haha

I hope there's room for my family in that house (we can sleep on the floor; heck, Jim and the boys can camp in the backyard: hee hee) should we actually make it over there one of these days! :)

TaraR Oh so sweet of you. I would've taken one. She actually wanted to give me my favorite puppy (called pirate) as a belated wedding gift so the hubby told her jokingly over the phone, that her wedding puppy would turn into a "divorce puppy" :) LOL

Melisa I missed you guys so much. If we get the house and we managed to fix it up there, we will have a separate guestroom for each of you, it is that big :)

That's a lot of stuff going on! Good luck on the house hunting, we were hoping to do the same but it's hard saving for a down payment when you're also saving for a honeymoon. Priorities, priorities.

I haven't blogged much over the summer either and I didn't miss it too much either besides the fact I seem to have lost some of my following. Oh well.

And I want one of those puppies.

At last you're back! I'm glad you had a good time. I hope that finding a house isn't too painful.
