Roar, Roar

I must say I am honored to receive this blog award from Patty. It means a lot to me because Patty and I have a lot of things in common and she was one of the very few people to stop by my blog daily and actually leave a comment.

Shameless says: Those people I've given this award to are encouraged to post it on their own blogs; list three things they believe are necessary for good, powerful writing; and then pass the award on to the five blogs they want to honour, who in turn pass it on to five others, etc etc.Let's send a roar through the blogosphere!

The image above can be copied and pasted onto other blogs. Also, a small size of the award for sidebars can be found over at the writing circle site.

Three things necessary for powerful writing:

(1) Honesty - nothing like a phony. No matter what the reason for your blogging is, stay true to yourself and let others take part in who you are and what you stand for

(2) Common sense - well that needs no commenting

(3) A sense of humor - neither does this :)

Now I get to pass along this award! I can't believe I have to pick only 5 other blogs there are so many I love to read everyday!

- Melisa from Suburban Scrawl and Remembering Ruby
I found her through comments on her sister July's blog. Her blog is awesome and her writing as well as her posting of cute dog pictures impressed me beyond belief. She put her talent to good use and wrote a book by the name "Remembering Ruby". I am a regular reader and a big fan of both her blogs.

- Mags from Ms Maggie Moo Talks 2 U
Her blog was the first blog I read on a regular basis. Mags and I share a love of food (we both would roll around in it if it was respectable and decent). We both love to cook and I would love to sample some of her lovely creations one day. She is open and honest and not afraid to let her blogfriends know about her life. She has my utmost respect.

- Danielle from Danielle's Blog
I found Danielle's blog through her comments on Mags blog. Danielle can do things I will never be capable of and I admire her for it. She is creative and can crochet. Something I lack the patience for.

- Valley Girl from Life of a Valley Girl
Her blog is a recent addition to my regular reads. I have been snooping around her blog for a while. Her blog lets you take part in her life with a good measure of fashion thrown in. She's not afraid to speak her mind and I like that

- J from One Crazy Bride to Be
J was the first person to comment on my blog apart from friends and family. I am following her path to getting married in spring next year with great interest and love when she shares stories from her native Philipines.

The list could go on and on but I leave it to you to now pass on the torch and spread the word.

Ok, has got absolutely nothing to do with today's subject, but::

Divorce vs. Murder

A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked up to the pharmacist,
looked straight into his eyes and said, “I would like to buy some cyanide.”

The pharmacist asked, “Why in the world do you need cyanide?”
The lady replied, “I need it to poison my husband.”

The pharmacist’s eyes got big and he exclaimed, “Lord have mercy!
I can’t give you cyanide to kill your husband. That’s against the law!
I’ll lose my license! They’ll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen.
Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!”

The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist’s wife.

The pharmacist looked at the picture and replied,
“Well now, that’s different. You didn’t tell me you had a prescription.”

Have a good week..- balducci
