Now I am not a prude but what I have just seen is too weird to be taken lightly. I got home at 5:30p.m. and turned on the television as I do everyday. I usually enjoy watching some TV to wind down and get ready for the tasks ahead of me.
Anyway so I settle down on the couch and there at 5:30 in the afternoon as I flip through the channels I come across a so called Lifestyle magazine.
Pictured a huge newly refurbished mansion. Precious hardwood floors and expensive slate panneling on the walls... I am intrigued. Until the next scene. Two guys are sitting on an expensive looking couch obviously casting girls. As I missed the beginning of the whole show I still have no idea what it is about. My first guess would have been some remodeling show.
Anyway the women are dressed a bit kinky to say the least. At second glance they look a bit "strange". One asks if she should take her top off, that by now consists of her bra only. The guys on the couch nod in agreement. She happily obliges. I am all WTF???
Turns out I am watching the casting of prostitutes for a "Spa for men". Fittingly it is called "Villa Vertigo". Well, well and wouldn't you know it, it is opening day and you can see men in bathrobes being "escorted" (and by escorting I meant touched inappropriately) through the building by women clad in high heels, strings and barely there bras. In case I didn't mention it, it was 5:30 in the afternoon. I can't stress that enough. By now I am totally grossed out by that poor Czech girl dressed or rather undressed and the fat balding guy that she's walking to a "separee".
It is like an accident. Absolutely horrible but you can't look away. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. I had no idea that passes as daytime television on German telly.

That wouldn't fly in the US...yet. But after all of the reality crap that's on now (and I say that with love, since I watch said Reality crap!), it won't be too much longer!

That is awful and at 5:30 pm way to early for something like that. It sounds like a cable program over here.
lol, no that totally amuses me, and i would have had to watch like a bad accident too. it kind of makes me wish i spent more time watching tv in Germany than doing that tourist thing. next time! haha

I think even if I was sitting by myself and came across that, I'd feel awkward and squirm a lot. What a weird show...
