School is cool

While almost all of my colleagues took the offered half day off that the company so generously granted for Fasching, Carnival, Mardi Gras, I decided to stick it out and use the half day later in the year.

I think I am ready for some more vacation though. Too bad that there are some unsolved issues that prevent me from asking for some days off. Though as soon as the issues are resolved I will head off. I do feel like another trip to Dublin or a few days in my old Univerity town. Both of which I want to do with my hubby but I don't think he can join me just yet, with the new position and all.

On a more positive note, my best friend is coming from Dublin to stay with me for four days at the end of the month so I am definitely looking forward to that. I miss her. I miss the hubby as well who is now gone for the third day and it feels like eternity. The upside is that I am thinking of going back to school. I am currently deciding on which course I am going to take and if I can afford it. That includes checking with my company to see if they will pay for some of it.

I know some of you have gone back to school. What's your experience with it? It's been seven years since I left University and I am not sure if I can do the studying thing at all anymore. Any thoughts? How do you cram it into your schedules?

I have no practical experience with working fulltime and going to school but I quit my job and went back to school and I LOVED it!

How's that for no help?

I have tried going for my masters a couple of times and stopped in the middle of the semester both times. I think the reason is because I couldn't see myself going into the field once involving myself in the course. But I have really been thinking about going to school for teaching. I haven't looked into it yet but was thinking about doing so and then maybe taking a summer course. Good for you though.

Yay for thinking about going back to school!!!! Though I didn't go back to traditional school, I did go to culinary school and that was pretty intense-lots of book work, physical work and then an internship on top of my day job.

It's just all about being organized. And really wanting to be done helps too. :) You can do it-I just know it!!!
