The one where they all got shitfaced

Thanks for the warm welcome. It is good to be back and feels kind of like returning to a mothers big bosom lol. I am sorry I haven't been able to catch up with all of your blogs yet but I will do so over the next couple of days. With one hour of W-Lan access costing at about $12 I did the bare minimum checking my work emails from the Disney Resort and not much else.

Apparently I landed in an industry where people drink heavily at get-togethers. Cliché has it that we tend to stuff our faces with Pizza and Coke while sitting in front of our screen or in our case two or three screens. Funnily enough the opposite is the case. The people I work with are health conscious, they eat fruit and clear their plate of veggies. Some pop what I hope are vitamin pills on a regular basis. So it was quite funny to see them letting their hair down, partying until well into the wee hours of the morning.

Drinks were had…A lot of drinks. We were allowed to drink until the money put aside for that night ran out. Bad thing is that it didn’t run out and as a consequence all the geeks got hammered out of their minds. A hilarious sight. Before the big drinking commenced Disney had opened some rides in the park for our sole use. Not a lot of people took well to the “Finding Nemo” ride. You were seated in a tortoise shell and the ride ran through a dark building, the outside area and the shell turned and twisted in itself. Quite nauseating really.

Oh boy... a twisty turny ride with inebriation? That must not have been pretty.

Nice "Friends" reference in the title though. ;)

Nothing funnier than drunken geeks! :)

LOL

I hope Disney cleaned up before the kids got let into the park...

Alcohol and twisty rides does not sound like a good combo, ehh..I get sick just thinking about it.

Oh man...that's rough!!! At my old job, we used to be able to drink at luncheons and we'd all come back either very buzzed or sleepy.

The closest I got to spinning turtles waswhen I spun around in my chair afterwards.

*shrug*

Glad you're back. :)

I want to do what you do for money. Yay for industries that drink, you have to be careful with that in teaching :)

Welcome home.

Spazzgirl Yes, yes a lot of fun. I didn't want to leave.

Melissa Same here. I had no idea the geeks would binge drink to this extent *lol*

Don Mills Diva Yeah I doubt we would have partied this hard if we were close to home but we weren't and we were left unsupervised...not good ;)

Mags going back to work drunk? Wow your old job must have been fun. That is awesome.

Lindz Just trying to imagine a drunken Spanish teacher. I am sure you could invent a language of your own after some really heavy drinking.
