Thursdays excite me because it is 'almost' the weekend. The last working day to be taking seriously. Fridays are somehow relaxing and the pleasant anticipation makes me almost giddy with joy. Going to bed on a Thursday night is pretty cool knowing you only need to get up one more time.
Work is pretty stressful at the moment and on Monday I get to change desks and sit with my actual team that I belong to. When I started in the company almost 1 1/2 years ago I was seated in the midst of another team simply because of lack of desks in my original team.
Now things are being shaken up and I get to sit with the other kids. Can I hear a big "YAY"? That is not to say I won't miss my old team. They are awesome people and we'll be parted only by a wall and about 10 yards.
I am looking forward to sitting with 'my' peeps. Finally I can throw my stupid questions into the room instead of having to go over, call, IM or ping someone for help. And we get on well. And I get a view. That is right. I get to move to a desk right next to the window.
Oh the excitement. It's the little things really that make me happy. Little things like changing your seat. It is new and it is exciting which equals less boredom. Not that I would even have a remote chance of being bored in work but I am sure you get what I am saying.
Mmmmh new things I ♥ them.

There is definitely something to be said for sitting with your team, that's for sure. Yay!
I think that you and I and many others say "it's the little things that make me happy" in an almost apologetic way, when really what we have is an appreciation of those little things that others (the ones we direct our apologetic tone at) only see the Big Picture.
I think it's FABULOUS that the little things make you happy! That means you enjoy life that much more. Congrats on the new desk, and the view!
I wish I could get a new desk at work...but since we only have a reception desk that would require me to go somewhere else for a new desk. (how about my desk at home? LOL)
Happy Thursday!
This is her hubby....
That are indeed great news for Kat. Normaly you have to be 5 Years with the company before you have the RIGHT to aquire a window-Seat (at least in the branches located in the northern US). No, i am not saying for which company we are working...comming to the end of my comment: YAY for Kat, the best wife ever....
I love thursdays too... that almost the weekend thing, thirsty thursdays, used to be good TV... all things good.
Hooray for a new seat!! That's wicked exciting!!!
You should take a picture of it and post it here so we can see it too. :)
Yay! I want a desk by a window. Except I don't work so it would be pointless.
The saying "little things mean a lot" is sort of true.
"Little things mean everything" in my life.
LOL..you are funny! Congrats on moving desks
Danielle Seriously I am so happy to be able to sit with them now. Makes things so much easier.
Melisa The little things are what makes me happy the most. Don't think the salon would appreciate you moving the desk :)
Hubby Aww you're the best. I am so happy you're happy for me even if that means you have to walk 10 steps farther to see me now in the office :)
Lindz Aren't Thursdays great?
My Boys are Army Brats LOL that'd be pointless indeed. I hope you get to sit down at least during inbetween all your work at home and you don't have to run around all the time.
David I couldn't agree more. The little things make the biggest difference.
Di Pie Awww thank you.
Wow- So I am not the only one who counts down the number of mornings I have to get up each week!
I hate it when my team sits with me and they ask me stupid questions all the time! ;) I can ignore an IM but then they are THERE I have to acknowledge their existence! Existence can really suck! :)
PS- Kidding! I do work and play well with others.
