London calling

So we're here in London now and wouldn't you know it the minute we arrived the weather turned nice. It is cold but at least we have clear skies and sun. I love it.

Last night was really tough. We arrived around 9pm and checked into our hotel where we met a few people from our group that had arrived earlier that day. So we stored our luggage and headed to the next pub where we stayed until they threw us out around midnight.

Despite the time change (we gained an hour) and only 1 1/2 pints of cider I woke up feeling majorly hungover. Pah. How I hate that feeling. The hotel provided a great breakfast though I still can't get used to the English breakfast with their baked beans and sausages and fried mushrooms, bacon, tomato etc. With the head I had on me I opted for cornflakes, coffee and some water after which I felt like a new person. Hooray.

Good thing too because we were in and out of meetings all day with plenty of work inbetween. Looking forward to tonight when we will head out for spicy curry. Yay.

The hubby already gave me an update on what's going on at home. Apparently the little cat went on a rampage and later woke the hubby by running to him, screaming because she had her favorite toy stuck halfway down her throat.. Luckily the hubby said after he removed it all was well again in catland and more sleep was had. Phew. Close shave.

Anyway I hope all is well with you. Can't wait to catch up on all of your posts.

Hope you enjoy England!

BTW a cooked breakfast is a great hangover remedy. All that grease mops up the booze.

Paper Propaganda You have no idea how much I am looking forward to it. Mere minutes now.

Chris Wood It sure is a great cure for a hangover just nothing I want to eat on a regular workday :)

Enjoy yourself. I agree with Chris - there's nothing better than a fry up the morning after...
