Tivo is here

Cable showed Nip/Tuck reruns and the hubby bought a digital video recorder and what shall I say? My eyes are practically square by the time I went to bed at 4am on Saturday morning.

TiVo has finally arrived. A DVR is the only technical advance that my parents had in their home before we did and I loved it. How did I ever live without taping my favorite shows? Yes, you may all welcome me to the 21st Century now.

Today was solely reserved for fun. A girl from work invited me and a few girls that work in our department to her house for brunch. At 11am we had already emptied two bottles of bubbly sat together and had tons of fun. The girl's brunch will become a regular installment and I am looking forward to the next one.

In the afternoon the hubby got to pick up a "slightly" inebriated wife and we headed to town to go and see the new James Bond movie. What a fun afternoon too bad the movie sucked donkey balls. I mean has anyone seen it? After a brilliant Casino Royale and me drooling all over Daniel Craig this sequel was just dull. Maybe the expectations were too high but WTF. I will admit that I was heavily disappointed. That Bond movie sucked. I just didn't feel it and neither did the rest of the audience. We felt cheated as though the movie just broke up in the middle and they forgot to continue after a commercial break...OMG I can't believe I spent money and two hours of my lovely Sunday afternoon time on that.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

I may just be the last person NOT to have a DVR or Tivo. I'm sure it would change my life but I'm not really paying for the cable I have since I cancelled it 3 years ago, and they never actually cut it off... so my bill is about $40/month for my internet AND cable channels, and I don't want to mess with that. So, DVR waits! :) Congrats on yours, though. I'm disappointed about the new Bond flick, too. Didn't even bother based on what I've heard from everyone else, which is too bad b/c like you said, Daniel Craig makes a damn fine sexy Bond.

Paper Propaganda Oh I didn't mean to disappoint you. There is partial nudity but nothing in comparison to Casino Royale where he comes out of the water all Hale Berry like hehe.

Melisa Spending money on a bad film is just really annoying but the TiVo thing I mean that is just awesome. How did you not force me to buy one sooner? LOL

Jules How awesome is that? If I were you I also wouldn't point anyone into that direction. Getting cable but not having to pay for it rocks.

Melissa Not a big Bond fan either but since Daniel Craig plays 007 I just can't get enough ;)

Dyan It was depressing indeed and it felt as though it was incomplete. There was a lot of action but little plot. For girls plain out boring...

I don't have any video recording equipment - If I miss something, then that's that. Not that I watch much TV anyway...

Brian o vretanos I managed not to watch tv for an entire year but now I feel like I am missing out if I don't watch something that I might be interested in. Weird huh?
