Hairy Situation - Hair Today Gone Tomorrow?

For about three weeks now I have been wanting to make an appointment with my hairdresser but haven't even come close to picking up the phone to do so. It is ridiculous.

I haven't a clue what I should do with my hair. My natural hair color is a dark blonde. For years I have had highlights then switched to a dark brown. Currently my hair is just over my shoulders, it is naturally curly at the ends, my bangs have grown out and already reach my nose mouth. The last time I said I no longer want the layered look and set my goal to have it all at the same length. My hair grows like weed.

Actually, come to think of it, I am just going to do a little poll here.

Should I stay a brunette with a few highlights? Should I go back to blonde?

Same drama everytime. I gotta say the change from blonde to brunette did not go down well with my family, which I may owe to the fact that they had gotten used to me being a blonde for 31 years. My grandma still can't get over my "new" haircolor.

My friends think the brunette look suits me. The older I get the darker my natural hair color becomes and I was sick of having to have my highlights touched up all the time. Now my natural hair color comes through and you can barely make out a difference. Though I gotta admit that after turning brunette it was nice to see some blonde highlights in, which made the look much more natural and warm.

So internets I ask for your advice, tips, experience

Wow, I can't evenmake these decisions for myself. I voted but I'm not sure I would trust me with your hair.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Melissa Seems like we're sitting in the same boat. LOL. Can't make any big decisions either. The hubby already said he'll still love me even if I were bald. ROFL.

Thanks for voting.

I also am very indecisive. I feel stressed out at this responsibility. :)

I hope you figure out what you want to do!

Melisa No, no, no You guys can't leave me alone with this decision :o).

Gosh why is this so hard? At least it seems I am not alone with my indecisivness...Is that even a word?

I voted RED for sure (b/c I would if I could get away with it-I've got reddish hues but can't do red red) no bangs and shoulder length.

Now go! :)

Well, I didn't really understand some of the terms, and couldn't find tartan anywhere as an option, but I voted for what seemed like the craziest combination...

you are so funny, i love that you have a poll about your hair. and yes, i may have voted 'other' on color and suggested pink. but i will never suggest hair color for another woman so long as i shall live! haha. i think you need to go with your gut on this one...

i never choose one. i pick three. yes, three. for the summer, light blonde, medium and dark blonde, fall is more red, brown and touch of blonde, and winter (something bright to get me out of the funk) like my pink with my blonde and dark brown. spring - i'm up for anything, as long as it's not overly dark because i'm too pale from hibernating ;)

Do something freaky with your hair, something fun. It will always grow out.

Mags Thanks for your vote. Not sure I could pull off red red either but I am pondering if red highlights or a red hue might work :)

Brian LOL you voted for the craziest options? I am happy that I didn't put anything down like shave head etc. ;)

Paper Propaganda You're probably right with the gut feeling though I love your pink hair I don't think I would actually be brave enough for it. LOL at the hibernating comment :)

Tara R. True. That's probably what I should do but it seems women only ever do drastic things with their hair when they've experienced big changes in their lives.

I have such a hard time deciding on what to do with my hair too. I usually go in with ZERO ideas and just tell my lady to do whatever and she usually does really good. This last time I finally went in with something and it turned out great.

Good luck! Fun polls!

I grew up in the era of Farah Faucet so long blond and feathered (layered) really does "it" for me! :)
