when dreams become reality

What a weird night that was. Woke up this morning, drenched in sweat after the weirdest dream and when I looked out the window and almost had a stroke…

But let me take it from the beginning. First I had a bit of trouble falling asleep last night.

I read some more in Truman Capote’s ‘In Cold Blood’ and finally felt tired enough to go to sleep.

Now because my husband is tossing and turning a lot and occasionally one of the cats would try and claw her way into our bedroom, I sleep with ear plugs. That works wonders and provides me with the most peaceful and sound sleep. Heavenly.

On the downside, I miss out on what is going on around me.

The Swedish Women’s Beach Volleyball Team could come into our bedroom, scantily clad, and kidnap my husband. Or you could fire a grenade launcher next to my bed. I would not hear a thing. Nothing! Maybe the following morning, when my husband were gone or we had a hole in the place we formerly called our bedroom wall, would I cop on and eventually realize something weird must have taken place. But I digress.

So I was asleep and I started dreaming something really disturbing. It involved quite a few dead bodies in an underground parking lot, a lot of blood and a murderer still on the loose. As I was the only one to have seen the murderers face, I was on top of his list to be the next victim and the police were looking for me to help identify the beast. Only the dream seemed so real, that I woke up with my heart racing and I was in full panic mode immediately. I opened my eyes but it was pitch black and suddenly my sweater that was hanging from a hook on the door looked like a person. Even worse – my hearing was impaired. So I got even more panicky and I ripped out my ear plugs. Whew. Nothing. That was a close call.

Luckily it was time to get up and I was happy that I didn’t have to force myself to go back to sleep. So I staggered into the kitchen to put the coffeemaker on. As I looked out the window I see a police car. And not just your average squad car. No, it was one of the big ones. An eight-seater, with its lights flashing. RIGHT THERE in front of our house. I swear I felt my heart stop and my legs felt like they were giving in… It looked like the scene from my dream. Creepy. I am sure it was nothing but I didn’t go into the underground garage to get my car this morning. I hitched a ride with the hubby.

Scaredy cat.

I HATE dreams/waking up like that! When things are so real that it even creeps you out when you're wide awake....shiver!

I hope there are no more police cars and dead bodies in your future! :)

This is her hubby:

If anyone from the swedish Beachvolleyball team is reading this post, leave me a note so that i can give you my address, if you intent to kidnap me :)

And no, we are not renting our bedroom for any weapon testing scenarios, no matter what you pay :) If you are from the army, looking for a room that you could blew up, please move on, there is nothing to see. If you are from the swedish SWAT-Team, please be so kind and check again your map, sweden lies around 2000 km to the north / north north east.

But i still love my wife with every single drop of my blood (to stay in the mood of the story)

Everyone else? Have fun and thanks for dropping by

That kind of dream can be disturbing. Perhaps you should read something a bit more peaceful before you go to sleep, or watch some volleyball ;-)

yeah, 'In Cold Blood' may not have been the best choice for a little, light nighttime reading. Creepy dream. I'll still be all nosy about why the police car was outside.
