inkheart

Not a big fan of movies like The Chronicles of Narnia or Stardust but I’m sitting here with hubby, watching Inkheart. It’s a beautiful movie and I loved the book. So all I want to do right now is cover myself in books. Unfortunately there are only very few books left in the apartment because every day that we go over to the new house, we take heavy boxes, filled with books because surely on moving day the last thing you want to be lugging around is 20 huge boxes of books.

Only now our living room’s never looked this empty without them. I miss my books.

My grandmother always warned me to be suspicious of people who own no books, which makes me check out other people’s homes to see whether or not they own any…

It's a pity that they can't make books weigh less somehow. I really love that photo.

Well...when I moved from CT to Boston I sold a ton of book b/c I needed the money...and I did that again a few months ago because I was desperate. So my book collection is very sparse these days. I do, however, have a crap load of cookbooks...so those have to count, right? :)

Brian You're right. A friend suggested one of those e-readers like Kindle etc. but to be honest I'm not a fan. Still need the smell and feel of a real book.

Mags I understand what you mean. If I had to sell my books it would rip me apart but you had your reasons, which I completely understand and I'd do the same and cookbooks totally count. Got a nice collection of those as well :)

If you got a Kindle, you could have tons of books that wouldn't weigh a ton!

(I'm just kidding; I prefer the feel of books to a small electronic device.)

My books is one of the things I do not want to ever have to move. Half of the stuff in my home is books. Your grandmother sounds like a very wise woman... don't trust anyone who doesn't read books.

I loved the Inkheart trilogy!

Melisa I took a look at the Kindle and knew this wasn't for me. My mom still makes fun of me because I smell books before I start to read them... nothing like a good book - literally.

Tara Inkheart was an amazing story and funnily enough I had a feeling that you had a ton of books at home.
